Feb 06 Staunton Farm Foundation taps FamilyLinks COO to serve in top role
Pittsburgh Business Times – The Staunton Farm Foundation, a downtown-based organization that focuses on providing grants to promote mental health and wellness, has named a new executive director.
Monique Jackson, who had previously served as chief operating officer at FamilyLinks, now leads the foundation, taking over the role from its longtime executive director Joni Schwager, who retired last year.
“We are honored to welcome Monique to lead our organization as executive director,” Staunton Farm Foundation Board President Suzy Weaver said in a release. “With her background in mental health services and advocacy for health equity, we know she will guide Staunton Farm Foundation’s mission and vision to create meaningful change, partner with impactful organizations, and continue to advance mental health and substance use treatments.”
In her role as COO of FamilyLinks, Jackson started a number of initiatives, including the county’s first treatment program for youth who have experience sexual exploitation. She is a member of the Conference of Allegheny Providers, Rehabilitation & Community Providers Associations and the National Council for Mental Wellbeing.
One of her first efforts at the Staunton Farm Foundation will be to issue capacity-building grants for developing behavioral health and substance use programs. Grant applications are due by April 9, 2025, and will be awarded in July 2025.
According to a release, the foundation granted $11 million to local partners over the past four years.
