Fayette County Drug and Alcohol Commission Receives Grant to Advance Community Wellness and Data-Informed Planning

The Daily Courier – The Fayette County Drug and Alcohol Commission has received new funding support from the Staunton Farm Foundation to launch a forward-looking initiative focused on improving data systems and evaluation practices across its prevention programs.

This initiative will enhance the commission’s ability to track progress, assess community needs, and make informed decisions that reflect the evolving challenges faced by youth and families in Fayette County.

Through strategic partnerships and technology upgrades, the commission aims to build a more responsive and efficient framework for long-term planning and service delivery.

“We’re grateful for Staunton Farm Foundation’s continued investment in the health and well-being of our region,” said Lee Winterhalter, awareness and community education supervisor.

“This support empowers us to strengthen our infrastructure and ensure our efforts remain grounded in real data and community voice.”

Project goals are:

  • Improve data collection and usability through modernized tracking tools.
  • Support staff training and system development via collaborative partnerships.
  • Analyze regional trends and community input to guide future programming.
  • Establish a five-year evaluation framework to inform strategic planning and compliance.
