Purpose of the Award

The Albert B. Craig, Jr. Award recognizes individuals who have challenged society to think in fresh ways about problems and solutions in mental health, including behavioral health and substance use disorders. Nominees may be recognized for forging new paths through uncommon partnerships, developing innovative ways of serving people with mental illness, behavioral health conditions, and substance use disorders, or inventing a product or process that has meaningfully improved mental and behavioral health outcomes.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Nominees must be actively serving the nonprofit community.
  • Nominees’ work must benefit one or more of the ten counties served by Staunton Farm Foundation (Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Lawrence, Washington, and Westmoreland).
  • Prior recipients of the Albert B. Craig, Jr. Award are not eligible for nomination.
